Jantien Bierich – From Casting to Curtain Call: Funding a Theatrical Production

Jantien was born in Bolsward, the Netherlands, in 1969 and grew up in Curacao and Amsterdam. In order to study different languages, Jantien moved from Amsterdam to Switzerland and later to Spain, where she lived in Madrid for 3 years. Able to speak Dutch, German, English, French and Spanish, she took a job with Mercedes Benz in Madrid. In 1993, Jantien married and moved to Frankfurt.
In 2008 she joined the marketing department of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG, where she set up a department responsible for event management and engaging with sponsors. In 2004 she became a founding member of Freundeskreis Clementine Kinderhospital, a charitable organisation that supports the Clementine Children’s Hospital. In January 2011 she became Head of Fundraising at the English Theatre Frankfurt ETF. This position allows her to make use of both her language skills and her international work experience. She is the contact person for the theatre’s sponsors and its artistic advisory board. Jantien also coordinates some events for sponsors and the International Stammtisch, which organises regular social events for Frankfurt’s international community.
